Build your cultural competency and sensitivity in working with the LGBTQ population. Andrew Mendonsa, PsyD, has extensive knowledge and expertise working with LGBTQ clients in private practice and has written and presented on the topic of supporting LGBTQ clients and their families.
The training will cover the following:

An understanding of the sensitivity of working with the LGBTQ population

Application of current knowledge and clinical interventions when working with the LGBTQ population

Interventions for assessment and treatment for LGBTQ clients

Learn how to assess if a client may need a different level of care and appropriate tools to refer

How to assess your office environment for off-putting items when welcoming LGBTQ clients
Training includes continental breakfast and fresh fruit!
We will begin the morning with our monthly Chapter meeting.

This course meets the requirements for 2 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LPCCs, LEPs, and/or LCSWs. The Sierra Foothills Chapter of CAMFT is an approved CEU provider (PCE #4807) through the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
Training fees are as follows:
Licensed members-$25
Pre-licensed Members-$20
Licensed Nonmembers-$35
Pre-licensed Nonmembers-$30
Registration for this event closes May 14, 2015 at midnight.
There is a $5 late registration fee for attendees registering at the door, so be sure to register early!
The Sierra Foothills Chapter of CAMFT will provide refunds to registrants up and until the close of registration, minus a $5 registration fee. There are no refunds after the close of registration.
