Practical Management of Sleeplessness in the Outpatient World

From I 80, take Highway 49 N and turn right onto Palm Avenue. If coming south on Highway 49, turn left onto Palm Avenue. Continue on Palm Avenue to the stop sign. Turn left onto Auburn Ravine Road and continue to the stop sign. Turn right at the stop sign even though it says Church Street. Go straight up the never-ending hill into the church parking lot. The meeting is in Pilgrim Hall and there will be a sign with the CAMFT logo and Sierra Foothills Chapter on the door.

Dr. Osterhout is currently the Program Director for the Heritage Oaks Hospital Roseville Oaks Center, which is both a Partial Hospitalization treatment center and an Intensive Outpatient treatment center primarily focusing on mood disorders, anxiety disorders, phase of life adjustments, and personality disorders. She obtained her medical degree and completed her residency at the University of California Davis School Medicine and is a board certified general adult psychiatrist.

Goals and objectives are:

  1. To develop baseline knowledge about sleep and lack thereof;
  2. To define insomnia, epidemiology and facts;
  3. To present pros and cons of sleep medications;
  4. To use psychological and behavioral methods for getting to sleep;
  5. To use methods to return to sleep.

The course will meet the requirements for 2 hours of continuing education credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and LEPs. The Sierra Foothills Chapter of CAMFT is an approved CAMFT CEU provider # 97723. MFT registered interns and trainees, MSWs, and graduate students are welcome to attend and will receive certificates of completion.

Training fees are as follows:
Licensed members-$25
Pre-licensed Members-$15
Licensed Nonmembers-$35
Pre-licensed Nonmembers-$25

If you become a member of Sierra Foothills Chapter, you save $10 on each training.

Important Notice: Hand-outs will be emailed 2 days before the training. Please print and bring them to the training because there are no printing facilities or wifi connection at the site. CEU and Course Completion Certificates will be emailed to participants.

Registration for this event closes on:
Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at 6 p.m.
There is a $5 late registration fee for attendees registering at the door, so be sure to register early!

The Sierra Foothills Chapter of CAMFT will provide refunds to registrants up and until the close of registration, minus a $5 registration fee. There are no refunds after the close of registration.
