Please join the Sierra Foothills Chapter of CAMFT team by participating at the 6th Annual National Alliance on Mental Illness NAMIWalk on Saturday, May 2, 2015.  Check-in and resource at 8:30 a.m., Speakers at 9:00 a.m. and Walk starts at 10:00 a.m.

NAMI is a national, grassroots organization with a Placer County Chapter providing community programs for families and individuals with mental illness.  This walk raises awareness of mental illness and the hope for recovery. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YP1T1722WdI

We are encouraging Chapter Members to participate by walking, volunteering at the Chapter table (non-walkers), or becoming “virtual walkers” to raise awareness and request donations online. This is an event for the entire family with food, vendors, guest speakers prior to the event, and entertainment.

The funds that are raised through this WALK are used to support various NAMI programs that are offered at no cost in our community, including:

  • Basics
  • Family-to-Family Training
  • Family Support Groups
  • Peer-to-Peer Training
  • Peer Support Groups
  • Crisis Intervention Training
  • Community Outreach and Education

We want to have a strong showing to represent our wonderful Chapter, plan to be there!
