Our board of directors is made up of volunteers with BBS licenses and CAMFT memberships. We are dedicated to helping fellow LMFTs and AMFTs find support, resources, trainings and social outlets.
President
Laurie Linsley
Laurie was born and raised in Cupertino, CA and went to CSU, Fresno to get her undergraduate degree in Recreational Therapy graduating in 1992. She then ventured to Anchorage, AK and started a family. She later got divorced and raised two children going back to school in 2009 to get her master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. After living in Alaska for 23 years she returned to CA in 2018 to be closer to her immediate family. She is currently licensed in CA and LMFT and enjoys working with families, individuals, couples and teens. One of Laurie's favorite interventions is working with the clients at the ranch with her horses and being outdoors in nature. Laurie’s theoretical orientation in CBT and Experiential Therapy.
President Elect
Diane Kato
Diane has over 21 years of experience engaging children, adults, and families. Diane's specialty is supporting children and parents utilizing a wide array of experimental techniques such as art, play, sand, animals, and movement. Diane works with individuals and groups developing healthy coping skills, improving social development, and educating youths and adults about family systems and how trauma may affect quality of life. In addition, Diane focuses on reducing mental health stigmas and preventing child and elder abuse by educating individuals and the community. Diane is a member of CAMFT and AAMFT.
CFO
Linda Ankeney
As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Linda welcomes clients of diverse ages, backgrounds, cultures, religions, and genders/non-genders. She graduated with distinction from National University with a master’s in counseling psychology and has completed coursework for a Masters in Sociology.
Linda's work experience includes several years of serving and empowering children, teens, adults, and families via mental health clinics, school-based sites, and community-based non-profit organizations. She has been in private practice in Roseville since 2010. Her theoretical orientations are CBT, ACT, and is EMDR certified via EMDRIA. Linda loves her job and feels she was born to be a therapist.
Secretary
Cicily Baird
Cicily received her Masters Degree in Psychology from California Southern University. She has been working within the behavioral industry since 2013. She has experience working in dual diagnosis programs including residential and outpatient clinics. She has provided group services, individual, family, adolescent, and couples services as well. She utilizes trauma informed approaches and has experience and training with brain spotting. Cicily is always trying to learn and grow as a therapist, so she attends as many trainings as possible. In her leisure time she enjoys reading, yoga, hiking, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.

Nadine Newman
Nadine Newman attended the University of San Francisco where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Behavior in 2005 and a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 2010. As a MFT intern, Nadine worked in Yolo County with the Yolo Community Care Continuum and the Woodland Unified School District. She became licensed in 2015 and has worked in private practice in Yolo, Sacramento, and Placer Counties with her therapy dog, Maggie. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, trained in EMDR, and a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional. She has been a member of CAMFT since 2010 and has participated in events/trainings in the Yolo, Sacramento, and Sierra Foothills chapters.
